Food Allergy Friendly Gingerbread House Kit

I received the below information from A & J Bakery. They are having some fun contests with their allergy friendly gingerbread house kits this year--a photo contest and a golden gingerbread man contest! Winners will receive a gift card from A & J Bakery.

A&J Bakery would like to make two important announcements. One we are having our First Annual Gingerbread House Decorating contest. From December 1, 2012 through December 30, 2012 submit photos of your Allergen Friendly Gingerbread House fully decorated to A&J Bakery to be considered in the running for an award of Best House and/or Most Unique use of provided decorations. Your name will be placed on a plaque that will be kept in the store and a $30 gift card to the top two winners in those two catergories and within the three age brackets (Ages 4-7; 8-12 and 13-18). Email all pictures of your completed house with the A&J Bakery House Box in the background, along with the person's name, address and age. Also please let us know what category you want to be entered into. Email your photos to ajbakery1@gmail.com

The second fun announcement is the GOLDEN GINGERBREAD MAN TICKET. There will be 5 lucky winners who will win a $25 gift card to the store when finding the GOLDEN GINGERBREAD MAN TICKET inside a box. The Golden Gingerbread Man could be found in boxes sold at the store or possibly in a box shipped to a child throughtout the world.

The Allergy Gingerbread House Kits kits are $32.95 and are free of peanuts, gluten, egg, dairy, wheat, sesame, soy, fish, shellfish and tree nuts. There are five little packages of allergy friendly candies like jelly beans and gum drops to use for decorating as well as non-edible decorations included in the kit. They may be purchased in-store or online. My sons and I really enjoyed putting together the gingerbread house we received courtesy of A & J Bakery. The icing was easy to make and use, and it was good team effort with all three of us. Now they keep asking when they can eat it, but I have to hold them off for a while, at least we'll try to wait till Thanksgiving!
