Nut-free Peanut-free Cupcakes and Cookies in Massachusetts

Here in Massachusetts, more and more supermarkets are carrying nut-free, peanut-free cupcakes and frosted cookies (looking very similar to those Lofthouse frosted cookies) in their bakery departments. While I must admit, they flavor and texture is nowhere near as good as what you'd find at a regular bakery, they are a great convenience for school events and parties. They are fairly easy to find and are reasonably priced. For those managing peanut and nut allergies, it's such a luxury to be able to run out to the local supermarket and get nut-free peanut-free cupcakes or cookies in a pinch.

Which supermarkets carry them? So far, I have spotted them at Shaws, Roche Bros, Market Basket and Walmart. Have you found them somewhere else? Please tell us in a comment below! It could help a peanut/nut allergy family near you, or non-food allergy families or schools trying to include the kids with peanut and/or nut allergies at their event.

Around Halloween saw cupcakes
at Stop & Shop on cape Cod but haven't seen them since. Holiday parties at school coming up so I may go talk to the bakery. Our school just instituted a policy for only store bought bakery items allowed - so hard to do that for peanut free - bakeries are such a risk!
