Manny Ramirez Helps Peanut-Allergic Boy Get to the Ballgame

About a month ago, a peanut allergic child met Red Sox player Manny Ramirez by chance at a Whole Foods Market around Boston.  The boy told Manny about how his peanut allergy prevents him from attending a Red Sox game at Fenway Park. Upon hearing this, Manny ran out to his car and returned with his arms full of Red Sox items for the young fan.
This afternoon, New England news channels are reporting that Manny Ramirez has arranged for the boy, three family members, and a friend to see the game from a "peanut-free" private suite.  Imagine that!  Here is the story on the Connecticut NBC Channel 30 website.

Update: Manny's moved on to the LA Dodgers!

Great story - Boston is my second home. I saw The Police at Fenway last summer - awesome! My tag is up on my blog! What an interesting task ;)
