Food Allergy Finds

Three interesting food allergy items caught my attention this week. Please take a moment to check them out!

A downloadable Rosh Hashana food allergy recipe book, A Taste of Sweetness, is available for only $5.00 from Kosher with Food Allergies--perfect timing as September draws near!

AllergyEats is hosting the inaugural Food Allergy Conference for Restaurateurs on October 16, 2012 at the Seaport Hotel in Boston, MA. It will cover "what every restaurant should know about food allergies to ensure safety & maximize customer engagement, loyalty and revenue." This promises to be a very exciting event!

An article in the voicesnews.com newspaper of Connecticut highlighted a new food allergy friendly website, Friendly Food Finder. Guests to the site can input "safe" foods they find and where they found them, and also search for "safe" foods. The aim is to make it easier for those with food allergies and other restricted diets to locate stores carrying the food they need without spending the gas traveling from store to store.
