The last few days have brought news of the closure of two food allergy friendly specialty businesses, Guardian Angel Foods in Quebec and Mad Alex in Connecticut. It's a tough economy and even tougher for specialty companies like these.
With holiday shopping underway, please keep food allergy friendly businesses in mind as you make your purchases!

A&J Bakery offers an allergy friendly gingerbread house kit--the only one I know of which is free of the top 8 allergens! They also make incredible biscotti (free of gluten, nuts, and peanuts). The Christmas cut-off date for online orders is December 17 - hurry!
Navan Foods is an online food allergy specialty grocery store which I am always recommending. They have a great selection and their customer service is AMAZING!
Sweet Alexis is a fantastic dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free and peanut-free bakery which offers sweet gingerbread man cookies and other scrumptious delights!
