Food Allergic Celebs

The recent Hollywood nut prank stirred a bit of emotions in online food allergy circles, some asking for an apology from the actor involved. The fellow, and consequently his movie, got quite a good amount of attention from it. Peanut and nut allergies are such hot button issues; it's a guaranteed conversation starter, especially for reporters.

Rather than demand an apology for a joke that offended some, I think this is a perfect opportunity for food allergy awareness promotion--in addition to movie promotion--from co-star, Zach Galifianakis. That would be a very positive outcome.

Although food allergies are getting more attention the last few years, we really could benefit from more celebrities helping bring attention to this issue. Another celebrity who I am hoping will get involved in food allergy awareness is Vikings running back, Adrian Peterson, who recently suffered an allergic reaction after eating seafood jambalaya.

What other food allergic celebs would be good to add to the food allergy awareness roster?
