Food Allergy Prep for the New School Year

It's time for me to have the allergist fill out our school's paperwork for my son's peanut and nut allergies and asthma. I've ordered new epipen carriers for the new school year,  will be making sure our MedicAlert bracelet info is all up-to-date, and have all the medications ready to leave at school.

What other special preparations do you undertake prior to the start of school? How about transitioning from preschool to elementary school, and elementary school to middle school, and then middle to high school--what changes have you observed in your school year prep in terms of food allergies and asthma?
